Imagery in "All Summer in a Day
• Although this is a very short story, it is ripe with
sensory imagery. Sensory imagery allows the reader
to use his or her senses (touch, smell, hearing, sight)
to imagine what is going on in the story. Choose
three examples of imagery from the story, and
explain why they are important.
Assignment:
Find one example of each type of imagery ( four total)
from the story and write them in your notebook.
