From total Installed power generation capacity,
9,914 MW was contributed by thermal power and
renewable power contributed 7,491.2 MW.
Hydropower and nuclear power contributed
2,182.2 MW and 524 MW of capacity.
Tamil Nadu Vision 2023 envisages an investment
of US$ 39.6 billion to expand generation capacity
by 30,000 MW.
