OUR VISION: To be the National Institute of Electrical and Electronics
and Computer Engineering-- internationally recognized; achieving national impact and global significance
OUR MISSION: To produce excellent and innovative engineers who
are motivated and committed to serve the nation; and to advance the
field of electrical and electronics engineering
OUR research:
We enable INFORMED
DECISION-MAKING.
PHL-MICROSAT
In partnership with universities from Japan, we are
developing the Philippines’
first microsatellite, enabling
access to real-time data for
decision-making in disaster
risk reduction management
(DRRM), weather forecast,
resource mapping, food security, agriculture, defense,
and many others.
Addressing Local Relevance
Achieving Global Impact
The first prototype of the
SmartWire sensor node.
The 65nm CMOS integrated
sensor node includes an integrated PLC transceiver and a
6-bit SAR ADC, both powered
by an internally regulated
0.5V supply harvested from
the power distribution lines.
Bantay Wika Project
We developed a database of Filipino
words and applied a blend of linguistics, engineering, and other sciences to
enhance mother tongue-based multilingual education.
We preserve HERITAGE through TECHNOLOGY.
possibilities.
RESEARCH AREAS
We promote ENERGY EFFICIENCY.
SmartWire Program
We are developing smart wire
technology for innovative
smart grids of the future.
Rapid Electric Vehicle
Charging- Charging in
Minutes (CharM)
Recognizing the government’s call for cleaner and more efficient
vehicles, we developed
a fast-charging system
for electric tricycles,
which aims to enhance
the continuity of e-trike
operations in the country by reducing the
charging time in no
more than 30 minutes.
