Portal Vein Embolization
D
This 60 year old had colorectal cancer
metastases isolated to the right lobe of
his liver (Arrow, A) with a left lobe too
small to allow surgery. Embolization of
the right portal vein was performed (B,
C). Follow-up imaging demonstrates
satisfactory compensatory hypertrophy
of the left hepatic lobe (D). Embolic
material is identified within the
atrophied right portal vein branches
(Arrows).
