Open and Closed Tube (3D30.20)

Concept/Purpose: Standing sound waves in open and closed tubes.
Procedure/Explanation: An open ended tube is connected to the air supply and resonates at a
certain frequency. The end of the tube can then be covered with your hand to show that the
resonant frequency goes up for a tube of the same length but closed at one end.
