4) Footnotes in assessed content essays. Do they count towards the word count?
Students appear to have received contrasting information.
5) Year Abroad work placements- support. Would it be possible to collate a list of
business/translation firms for second year students to use?
6) The assessment of the Self and Others II (Travel Narratives) module.
Should student assessed presentations begin in week 2? Some students feel
uncomfortable about this as they have not studied the module very long.
If 30% of the grade is assessed by presentation, the other 70% being by the
essay, should this mean that the assessed essay should be considerably
shorter?
