QUALIFICATIONS

Executive Director of Human Resources
1. Certificate in Educational Leadership.
2. Master’s Degree.
3. Minimum of five (5) years teaching/administrative experience.
4. Ability to perform functions of the position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To develop and execute recruiting/retention plans.
2. To network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees.
3. To coordinate the planning and implement recruitment/retention initiatives.
4. To retain and record data affiliated with recruitment/retention
5. To assist and monitor the application and employment process including orientation programs for
new employees.
6. To work with the Human Resource Department to hire employees.
7. To conduct regular follow-up to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
8. To coordinate the processing of current applicants to develop a pool of candidates in advance of
need.
9. To research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
10. To utilize the Internet and social media for recruitment/retention.
-Create, maintain, and improve a recruitment page on the SLPS website.
-Research new ways to use the Internet and social media for recruitment/retention
-Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
11. To aid public relations in establishing a recognizable “employer of choice” reputation for the district,
both internally and externally.
12. To coordinate college recruitment initiatives and teams, developing relationship with all parties to aid
in recruiting and increase college awareness of SLPS. This may include the development and
execution of professional development for recruitment.
13. To perform all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
14. To perform duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Physical Demand Class - Light (L): Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 10 pounds or less.
Infrequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 11-35 pounds. Frequent walking and/or standing is
required to carry out duties.
